Yoga Teacher Training To Give Back

In 2013, I found myself at an all-time low.

A soft voice whispered through the madness, "Get on the mat. Yoga and meditation will save you." And I did. And it did.


Through the steady practice of yoga, I have found my way through many of the mentally disabling issues that were keeping me down and keeping me from being fully alive.  It helped me become strong and flexible, both physically and mentally.

I began to share my practice with my children, and I have noticed the profound positive effect that yoga and meditation has upon our daily lives. The effect is even more apparent when we DON'T practice, which becomes a greater indicator of the power our practice has to reduce stress and create a calm and loving home. And why we need to keep practicing.


Though I have deeply wanted to become a yoga teacher, our money situation wouldn't allow it. For the past several years, we have been struggling financially, which has led to some unfortunate circumstances. I would love to be able to share the gift of yoga to others in similar situations to keep them from desperate acts before it's too late; to help others who are suffering from mental instability or self-doubt find hope; to bring yoga into the latin community; to help prisoners and drug addicts find their way by finding themselves; to show parents (new, old and expecting) new ways to bond with their babes, find ease and peace throughout their days, and lead a healthy lifesyle; to help athletes become their very best physically and mentally; and to bring mindfulness into the lives of our children, our future.  

I am passionate about creating raw change in our communities and the world at large. And I know that I can help others find it within themselves to be the change they wish to see in the world through yoga and meditation practice. A donation as small as the cost of a cup of coffee can make a difference ❤


I will be starting yoga teacher training in March. Some of the funds will cover the time from work I will have to take off in order to go to the classes. Due to circumstances, my kids are currently living under a single mom situation, and I am the only one able to work at this time while I help my unemployed parents with their bills. I am blessed to have my mom help me with my kids. And I am grateful to have a yoga and meditation practice that is helping our family through this difficult time.
