Praetorian Community Safety is a voluntary, community-based safety patrol group operating throughout Northern Ireland. Formed in response to growing concerns around community safety—particularly for women, children, and vulnerable groups—our mission is to provide a visible, lawful, and reassuring presence in areas identified as being at increased risk.
Staffed entirely by SIA-licensed security professionals, all serving on a volunteer basis, we act as a trusted and credible alternative to the rise in unlawful vigilante groups. Our team is trained, vetted, and committed to upholding the law while working closely with communities to address concerns with professionalism and discretion.
While recent demographic changes have brought new challenges to many local areas, Praetorian Community Safety believes in protecting all members of the community without discrimination. Our focus is on fostering safer, more unified neighbourhoods through transparency, accountability, and community engagement.
We are not politically aligned, nor driven by ideology—only by a shared commitment to safety, dignity, and lawful service.
