Hello, we are the Snyder's, a fun, caring, loving family who in the last 8 months has come upon some very hard times. We have come to a point where we are about to lose our home and didn't know where to turn for help. We are hopeful that this platform can help us overcome our hardship. Our hardship began back in early October when the wife and kids were involved in a car accident. While the car was able to be fixed, the wife sustained injuries thought to be minor. The injuries turned out to be far worse than expected and kept her out of work. Collecting disability was an absolute nightmare and inconsistent. During her time out, she had multiple procedures to fix ailments in her neck and shoulder, none of which to date have worked. She still needs shoulder surgery. During these 8 months, we struggled severely, even using this platform once to get us going while awaiting disability. Her benefits recently ceased, and while it wasn't much, it was something that helped. She recently (a week ago) returned to work, which is a true blessing, and we are looking forward to being a two-income family again and climbing out of this hole. However, we were hit with an unexpected downfall of an eviction notice. With a very short window (July 8th), we are now in jeopardy of losing our home. We are utilizing this amazing platform and reaching out to friends, family, anyone for help to keep our home. We are finally inches away from fixing all our hardships, but this unexpected hump is one we can't overcome alone. The husband has been keeping us afloat (all while needing surgery himself that had to be put off), exhausting his 401k, selling things, doing whatever it takes, but it's just not enough with this news. As I write this, I'm embarrassed, sad, and angry that we can't overcome this ourselves and have to go this route. I just don't know where else to turn and have to put aside the emotional aspect of it and ask for help to save my family from losing our home. Thank you to all who take the time to read our story, share our fundraiser, and/or donate. It truly means more than you know. Sincerely, The Snyder's.
