I have a dream: to build a Viking village. I am Nordic and Celtic. I live in Colorado with my 2 children. I am on a mission to build the most beautiful Viking Village in the USA, bringing Scandinavia to the Rocky Mountains. This project is obviously not cheap and will take funds to start. But the reasons I'm doing this are not just for my own benefit, but for many different reasons. One is that the town I would like to do this in is in need of an economic boom. Several businesses have shut down due to very slow business. There is a ranch there that has had some issues as well. I love to help people. I think that this village, placed where I would like to put it, will save this town, create employment opportunities, and give the basin a new facelift. Traffic through this area is heavy. It is the main corridors to get to skiing slopes and reservoirs in the area, meaning passing through this town are thousands of people who would be ecstatic to see something of this magnitude. It would be a great additiin to the Basin and to Hartsel. I am currently writing a proposal to the Denver Museum, Sons of Norway, the Denver Scandinavian Cultural Organization, Grimfrost, Colorado Cultural Development, Wardruna, and other organizations to see if I can get a grant, donor, or a direct loan to start this project. But they may also ask that I contribute to this and match them. So getting people who love my vision and want to see it as much as I do is very important. I think heritage and tradition is very important, if you understand this and want to help this dream come true even a dollar will help. Takk fyrir!!!!
So if you are reading this, even a dollar will help. NONE of this goes to me. This is strictly to buy land and building supplies.
Thank you for any help you would like to give... SKÁL
