- Hello, my name is Michael Kubowski. I was forced to become disabled. I have Dupuytren's bilateral a thesis. I've had it for about 20 years. I have Ledderhose disease. I have carpal tunnel in both my hands. Now, with all this affecting my hands, I have extreme pain, numbness, and limited movement and rotation. To top it all off, I have had a pinched nerve in my neck for 25 years that is at the borderline of very easily being paralyzed. This causes burning sensations from my back and shoulders all the way to the back of my head all the time, and I have a locked shoulder to go with that predicament. The Dupuytren's disease attacks soft tissue inside the body, so now the pinched nerve temperature and attacks certain parts of that, causing my locked shoulder or frozen shoulder. I was born with my neck basically broken; the only way to get me out was by pulling me out by my head, and they pulled the ligaments all out of whack in my neck. Now I have to deal with this problem. I can't work. I still have to get more surgeries done just on my hands alone. I have to get shots and carpal tunnel surgery. I had surgery done for Dupuytren's contracture disease. I had my left hand done first; that was the only one that was bad 10 years ago. Then I started to have problems with both my hands again, but now it's full instead of just one left hand, and now it's my right and my left. I went to the Bone and Joint Clinic of Wausau, Wisconsin. There's a doctor named Pamela there; she's supposed to be the best in Wisconsin. She isn't. She wasn't supposed to do the contracture surgery on my right hand. She opened up a can of worms, and now it's running crazy through my body. It doesn't affect everything in your body, but it does put strain on your muscles and all that stuff, so you're always in pain. I can't lift more than five pounds because of my pinched nerve in my neck, and my neck hurts, back, and my carpal tunnel. Ever since I had the surgery done about 6 months ago on my right hand, it just went right back to the way it was. It started to cripple up. I can't do anything. I can't lift. I'm in pain. My palms hurt. I have big, huge deposits in my hand. So this is pain from my fingers all the way up into the back, plus my head and my neck and my shoulders. I can't pick myself up off the ground if I'm sitting Indian style because of my hands. I have to crawl on my elbows to get myself up. The range of motion for being able to screw in a screw is limited. I can only turn a screwdriver a quarter of a turn before being in pain. I can't even put in two screws without having to stop because my hands are throbbing. These are pictures from a while ago plus two that were recent. I just had surgery on my right hand. My surgery failed, and it's back to being garbage after 5 months. Now, with my pinched nerve in my neck, that causes pain in the back of my head, migraines, shoulder burning sensations right down the center of my spine. I don't sleep well at night. It causes me to gasp for air. I have bad shimmers, which are like violent shakes in my legs, and they won't stop for a little while. They shake for probably 20 to 30 seconds. I have shimmers in my arms. I can't even carry five pounds without my arms starting to shake. I have serious nerve damage throughout my whole body. I also have Ledderhose, which is a form of Dupuytren's in my feet, causing my balance to be off-centered. I have to go in for a diabetic scan and congestive heart failure. If I don't get treatment for at least two items that I just mentioned, I could die in 3 years. I can't even push myself up without my body doing violent shakes with shimmers, and this is bad because it's in my shoulders, my arms, my neck, and my legs. No one in my family knows about this. I need help. I don't have a job. I am not able to work. I cannot work. I have to hopefully win my case for my social security. I don't know about that too much yet, but I have about 8 months before social security would kick in. My car is basically shot. Somebody hit it this winter, and now it blows oil all over the place, and it's unsafe to drive because it got banged up. I have no car. I have no money. I am in pain. I need help. Can somebody please help me? I don't even have a place to stay. I'm supposed to be able to show you this paperwork from my doctor verifying I'm disabled. It tells everything except the pinched nerve and a couple of other items that will be brought up with the doctors next week. It's a very slow process.
