Cabezon, the town from the Haven's front door
The calm before a storm. View from our porch at the Haven.
My husband is a wounded warrior with 34+ years in the Army. When he retired, we needed a way to stay connected, to heal and something to do together. We decided to convert our 65 acre ranch in rural New Mexico, into a retreat for wounded warriors, veterans AND THEIR FAMILY. The Haven is a magical place where families can camp, hike, hunt and explore together. We are building a bathroom/locker room facility, and need to rent large equipment to install septic and water lines, ramps, stairs, and furnish the bathroom/locker room. We are under construction and progress is slow due to limited funds. This fundraiser will allow us to complete the project and have this facility available for our busy season...summer.
