Journeys in Africa

To the nations. That is my call. This summer I have an amazing opportunity to travel to Africa and spend time in the countries of Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, Benin, and others. I depart May 8 and return August 11. I will be serving with mission organizations and alongside missionary families. It would take far too long to explain the specifics of this trip. Ultimately, it's all about His glory. This is the priority. Maybe I will get to share the gospel with someone who has never heard of Jesus. Perhaps I will feed the hungry and provide shelter for the homeless. It could be that I get to praise His name by loving and serving these people. But I am not so naive as to think that this is all about them. Through previous experiences oversees, I have observed that the ratio of what I give vs. what I receive always favor me. While they seem to have so little in their 3rd world setting, I have found that they have much to offer folks with 1st world problems. So whether God ministers to people through me, or I am ministered to by the people of these nations, my hope and prayer is that God is glorified above all else. 

My budget is roughly $4,000. An extra $1,000 will help me hit that goal. Please do not give unless you feel led. I have no intention of guilting you into supporting me. And honestly, I would rather embark covered in prayer than with enough money in my bank account. I covet your prayers. But I also want to give you the opportunity to give your dollars if you feel led.
