Help Us Secure a Home for Anna Sudha Community Kitchens!
Dear friends, supporters, and community members,
Anna Sudha Community Kitchens is at a crucial juncture, and we need your help to keep our doors open! For the past few years, we’ve been dedicated to our mission: ensuring no one in our community goes hungry. Through your incredible support, we’ve been able to serve thousands of nutritious meals to individuals and families in need. Now, we’re asking for your help to sustain our work.
Our Need:
Our current location has been vital in enabling us to prepare and distribute meals, host community events, and provide a safe, welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors. However, the rising costs of rent and utilities have made it challenging to maintain this space without additional financial support.
This GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $75,000 to cover our annual rent for the upcoming year. These funds will allow us to continue operating and expanding our services, ensuring that Anna Sudha Community Kitchens can remain a steadfast resource in the community.
Our Achievements So Far:
• Over 80,000 Free Meals Served: Since our inception, we’ve donated more than 80,000 meals to Homeless Shelters, individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Each meal is freshly prepared, nutritious, and made with care.
• Recognition for India Independence Day, August 15, 2024: Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares commended Anna Sudha for its tremendous service to our communities.
• Engaging 500+ Volunteers: We’ve had the privilege of engaging over 300 dedicated volunteers who help keep our kitchen running and our mission alive.
• Featured in Loudoun Times-Mirror: On July 18, 2024, Anna Sudha was featured in a notable article titled "Anna Sudha Kitchens Creates a 'Magical' Space for Loudoun Residents in Need." This feature highlighted our dedication to serving the Loudoun community.
• Recognition in Virginia House of Delegates: On February 14, 2024, the Virginia House of Delegates passed a resolution recognizing Anna Sudha for its service to communities and dedication to ending food insecurity across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Recognition by Loudoun County Board of Supervisors: On February 6, 2024, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall publicly acknowledged Anna Sudha’s outstanding service to the community during their monthly business meeting.
Why It Matters:
Without a stable space, we risk losing the ability to serve the very community we’ve been working so hard to uplift. Each year, we provide thousands of free, healthy meals to those facing food insecurity, host food education programs, and support local economies by sourcing produce from nearby farms.
How You Can Help:
• Donate: Every dollar brings us closer to our goal, and no amount is too small.
• Share: Spread the word about our campaign. Share this link with friends, family, and social networks.
• Advocate: Let others know about Anna Sudha’s mission and the importance of food security in our community.
With your help, we can continue to provide a welcoming, secure space that nourishes both the body and the soul. Together, we can make sure Anna Sudha Community Kitchens remains a beacon of hope and nourishment for all.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
With gratitude,
Anna Sudha Community Kitchens
