Hi, my name is Rutvika Gajjala, and I am excited to be raising funds for AttachAvi, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising autism awareness and creating meaningful social opportunities for children and young adults on the autism spectrum.

AttachAvi has been an important part of my life and my community. Through their events and programs, they provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals with autism to develop social skills, build friendships, and simply have fun. They also give parents and caregivers much-needed moments of respite, making a difference not just for the participants but for entire families.

Why I’m Fundraising

I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with AttachAvi and seeing firsthand the positive impact their programs have on so many lives. This year, I’m raising funds to help support their upcoming events and initiatives, such as social skills classes, holiday celebrations, and community gatherings. These programs bring joy, connection, and opportunities for growth to individuals with autism—and I want to do my part to ensure they continue.

Hello! My name is Jithya Rudraraju, and I am a dedicated volunteer with AttachAvi Autism Foundation. I help plan and organize events and fundraisers aimed at raising awareness for autism. My journey with the foundation has opened my eyes to the unique strengths and challenges faced by individuals on the autism spectrum. I’ve had the privilege of participating in multiple community events that celebrate diversity and promote understanding. These experiences have fueled my passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Through my volunteering, I’ve learned the importance of empathy, patience, and the unique strengths that each individual possesses. I believe that by coming together as a community, we can create a more inclusive world for those with autism.

Support Piscataway PBA Trunk or Treat Event
Hello Everyone,

As you are all aware, the AttachAvi initiative aims to provide a social platform for children with special needs and help them celebrate life. We have been holding many events for the past 12 years. Last year, we collaborated with the Piscataway Police Benevolent Association (PBA) to make these events more inclusive for our kids and it was a very successful event.

This year, the Piscataway PBA is planning to make the event even bigger, making it one of a kind. With our contributions, we need your support as well.

I am running a fundraiser for a PBA Trunk or Treat to raise funds for this event with the Piscataway Police. Please show your generous support by donating to this event.

Support AttachAvi Autism Foundation – Creating a World of Inclusion and Celebration for Children on the Autism Spectrum*

AttachAvi Autism Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to autism awareness and providing children on the autism spectrum with a safe, inclusive platform to celebrate life. Unfortunately, many individuals with autism and their families face societal stigma and isolation, which often limits their opportunities to participate in joyful and social events.

In 2012, I, Anita Sharma, the founder of AttachAvi and a mother of two young adults on the autism spectrum, began this journey to address the lack of inclusive platforms for families like ours. My goal was to create opportunities where children with autism can showcase their talents and simply enjoy the celebrations that everyone deserves.

Over the years, AttachAvi has organized unique events, including the Murillo Fashion Show, where children with autism take center stage to display their talents. We also host annual celebrations such as holiday parties, Halloween Trunk or Treat, Thanksgiving dinners, and Diwali parties, allowing families to gather in a supportive, stigma-free environment.

Additionally, AttachAvi runs a scholarship program that awards four high school students with special needs the opportunity to pursue higher education, helping them take their first steps toward college and independence.

Stuti Anand is fundraising

Stuti has been involved in the AttachAvi foundation since 2018; she is also one of the board members of the AttachAvi autism foundation. Stuti has been crucial in raising funds and their activities. Her empathy and kind-heartedness made her find unique ways to get them involved in the social activities she organized and built special Programs. She created a cyber library to encourage reading amongst kids. All these needed funding, so she also stepped up to that challenge. She recently volunteered in a minor league cricket tournament. Funds were raised by holding a lemonade stand in the tournament, and these funds will be used for funding various activities at AttachAvi. In the past, she organized a fashion show with her elder sister and used that opportunity to promote awareness by sensitizing people about autism. The pandemic didn’t stop her passion either. She volunteered 100 hours on zoom by spending time with the children, teaching them social skills. Stuti designed the “Each one teach one” program that runs virtually and has high schoolers run zoom one-on-one interactive hours, which includes anything from talking, singing, and reading to meeting in person with kids. Under the youth program at AttachAvi Autism Foundation, She is promoting awareness. She requests the nation's youth to join hands with her to advance this program further and provide a platform to help and create equality for all kids. Stuti currently has a website allshinetogether.org which she uses to raise funds, promote awareness and make a safe platform for parents and children to rely on. Furthermore, she also organized a food drive during the holiday season of 2021 to help the needy and the homeless. I am headed to Mt. Everest in April 2021 to climb for disability inclusion and autism awareness! Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world and I want to dedicate my climb to this special cause.

Also, April is autism awareness month so please support AttachAvi Autism Foundation by donating to support their various programs. All funds will directly and completely go to AttachAvi Autism Foundation.

Mt. Everest is located in Nepal and is 8848m high. Goal is set at $8848 so whatever you donate will help AttachAvi reach the summit!

Want to join me in making a difference?

In our lives we have all met someone with special needs, but most people have not taken the time to fully understand them.

With your help, I intend to provide neurodivergent children - people my age and younger with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Asperger’s syndrome and hyperactivity disorders - with the opportunities and chance to shine in the way they
deserve.

My name is Ria Bajaj, I’m a senior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South in New Jersey. Growing up, I had a few friends with special needs and I frequently found myself trying to help these children in school and getting along with them, whereas most other kids shied away.

To me, our differences made us stronger, and I learned an enormous amount from my neuroatypical friends.

With the new skills I gained and lifelong friendships I made, I realized how
amazing these individuals are and how unfairly they are treated by most of
society.

I wanted to make a difference, so I started volunteering at AttachAvi - where my job was to make these children feel included, inspire them, facilitate their social
growth, and empower them.

AttachAvi taught me much more about children with special needs and gave me
countless opportunities to interact and learn from them.

The organization has inspired me to continue giving back and helping those when so much of the society shuns them.

I created this fundraiser with the intent of raising funds for the AttachAvi Autism Foundation, a foundation that provides direction to 100 plus individuals with
special needs.

By combining both, Let’sShineTogether’s mission of supporting neuroatypical
children in maximizing their potential , and AttachAvi’s goal of maintaining daily
life enhancement programs for individuals with special needs, we’ve created a
strong platform in order to help these children.

This is a fundraiser created by me with an intent of helping AttachAvi autism foundation.

I have been volunteering for AttachAvi and am very touched with the programs and platform provided by AttachAvi for children and young adults with special needs.

AttachAvi mission of giving a social platform to people with mental and behavioral health challenges is commendable and serves over 200 families in New Jersey.

Attach Avi fashion/Talent Show is a unique opportunity providing opportunities to people with special needs showcasing their talent and celebrating life.

Every year this event is attended by more than 500 people and gives talent showing opportunities to more than 100 people with special needs.

Let’s open our hearts to encourage by donating to this great foundation for their upcoming fashion/talent show on April 28th, 2019 at Royal Albert's Palace.

My name is Srihari Yamunan, a sophomore in Piscataway High School, New Jersey . I have been a regular volunteer for AttachAvi for the past three years. While growing up as a late talker I had to work a lot on my social and communication skills. Many people helped me.This is an opportunity for me to give back to the community . Through this fundraising I would like to make each special needs child have a wonderful platform to showcase his/her talent. The donations will help make the Fashion and Talent show possible in a grand way and remain in the minds of parents and the children as a memorable event for a long time to come.
