Hello, everyone. Our names are Asher and Lukas, and we are students at DePaul University. We are launching a campaign called "Hearts for Paws" to raise funds for Chicago Canine Rescue, an organization close to our hearts. This initiative is part of a community engagement project for our Active Citizens class, where we are encouraged to make a real impact in our local community.
Our connection to Chicago Canine Rescue is deeply personal. Asher has adopted multiple amazing dogs from this shelter, each bringing immense joy and companionship. However, the situation is dire. Many dogs are at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding and limited shelter resources. This is an urgent crisis that demands our immediate attention. By supporting this campaign, we can save lives and give these dogs the future they deserve.

We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome more than 500 of Chicago's most vulnerable dogs (and a few cats!) annually. We were founded in 2011 to provide a safe landing place for our community's needy dogs.
