  Hello, My name is Edouard, and I hail from the bustling city of New York. When I was seven, I dreamt of becoming a farmer with a herd of cows, but my mom pointed out the challenges of managing their, well, "output." So, I pondered alternatives and came up with a brilliant idea: bees. For my birthday, I asked for bees and received an incredible gift of 80,000 of them. Now, I run a small business called #mieledouard—check it out on Instagram! I sell honey at a charming store in New York called “Madison Fare,” where the owner is wonderfully kind. On weekends, I visit my bees with Tom, a seasoned beekeeper. Together, we ensure our bees are happy and healthy, leaving enough honey for them to thrive. The garden buzzes with life as birds, butterflies, and dragonflies revel in the bees' incredible work. My current mission is to save bees worldwide, starting with a fundraising campaign for Fauna and Flora, a charity dedicated to impactful conservation efforts for over 50 years. They work tirelessly to save animals and preserve ecosystems globally. You can be part of this adventure and help save the bees in Belize. Honey bees are crucial for pollination, biodiversity, and food security. They pollinate 70 out of the top 100 human food crops, supporting 90% of the world’s nutrition. Bees are a keystone species, vital for maintaining ecosystem health and supporting diverse animal populations. One-third of global food production depends on them, and their decline would severely impact crop yields and food security. Beekeeping also provides livelihoods worldwide, producing honey and valuable products like beeswax and propolis. Protecting bees involves reducing pesticide use, preserving habitats, planting bee-friendly flowers, and supporting ethical honey production—efforts Fauna and Flora manage daily in Belize to ensure a sustainable future for its wildlife and communities. Hi, I’m Juliette! I recently visited Belize with Fauna and Flora, where I saw firsthand the critical work being done to protect endangered animals. When I saw a turtle in the water for the first time, I was in awe, and I knew I had to do something to help keep this magnificent creature alive.

Turtle survival is at risk due to habitat loss, poaching, and climate change. I’m raising funds to support their conservation efforts. Turtles survived the age of dinosaurs, but now, many species are critically endangered due to human activity.

I have always felt a deep connection to the ocean, the beach, and marine life. Seeing how close turtles are to disappearing inspired me to act and do everything possible to help. Why It’s Important:

Hawksbill turtles help protect coral reefs by feeding on sponges.

Loggerhead turtles control jellyfish populations, maintaining a healthy ocean ecosystem.

Hicatee River turtles are vital seed dispersers for freshwater plants, keeping river ecosystems healthy.

Without these turtles, entire ecosystems will be thrown out of balance. Turtle nests provide nutrients to beaches, preventing erosion, and their shells act as homes for fish and marine life. We need your help to protect them and Earth’s future!

Ever since I was a child, I've been captivated by the sight of birds soaring overhead with their powerful, graceful wings. But nothing compared to the experience I had in Belize. I remember the first time I encountered these magnificent creatures—their vibrant feathers shimmered in every color imaginable, turning each flight into a breathtaking, moving rainbow. Their playful nature and joyful companionship left an indelible mark on my heart.

However, my wonder was soon shadowed by a harsh reality. My knowledgeable guide, Ramon, explained that these "rainbow birds" were in decline due to local extinction and habitat destruction. I was stunned to learn that humans, whom I assumed were the birds' protectors, could be the very threat to their survival.

A week later, while visiting a wildlife rehabilitation center in Belize City, I encountered a scarlet macaw that epitomized resilience. Despite missing one foot, he was full of life, happily playing with his friend. I even had the chance to feed him some pumpkin seeds—a moment that filled me with joy and deepened my resolve to make a difference.

That night, reflecting on these experiences, I asked myself, "What if I could help save these beautiful creatures?" With my mom's encouragement, I turned to GoFundMe to raise money for their protection. Thanks to a longstanding connection with the renowned organization Fauna & Flora, I learned that they were already working tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate scarlet macaws. I eagerly joined their efforts, determined to contribute in any way I could.

Here's what makes these birds so remarkable:

• They mate for life, showing affection through mutual preening and feeding each other.

• Their strong beaks allow them to crack open nuts and seeds.

• In captivity, they can live up to 75 years.

• Their intelligence shines through in their ability to mimic human speech.
