Student Advocacy Zero Hunger
I am advocating for the U.N. Sustainable Goal of Zero Hunger. My mission is to contribute to reducing hunger as much as possible and help provide food for those who are in need. I started volunteering with Hope Community Service back in September of 2022. At that time I had little to no experience working at a soup kitchen. The senior volunteers who worked at Hope Community Service helped me to understand what to do, how much food to give to the patrons, and to always ask the people if they needed any help. I truly enjoyed working at Hope Community Services because both the volunteer's and people in need were very grateful and happy that I was helping them out. Every time I served food at Hope Community Service, the people were very grateful for what I was doing for them which have me a sense of satisfaction I was achieving my goal.

HOPE for Children’s education
For my mitvah, I'm helping work at an after school program for HOPE community services to teach children piano and help wherever I can. I go in 1-2 times a week during the school year and help with the STEAM camp. I also volunteer on weekends and have helped with a camp in the summer. Not only does HOPE help teach children, they also have a food pantry, they help find stable housing for people, and they help create a better community. I chose HOPE because I wanted people to have the same opportunities that I do and felt that I could use stuff I learned to help teach other people, as the greatest gift is to teach. May 4, 2021 marked 10 long years since our father’s passing. August 23rd would have been his 67th birthday and we would love it if you would join us in celebrating his life.

For those of you who didn't have the chance to know him, it’s important to note that he was guided by two main passions in life - charity and fighting for those who can't. The only thing that came close to the joy he experienced when caring for his community was when he was in the kitchen cooking up a feast. That’s why this year we have set up a fundraiser to benefit HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle, NY - a very important organization that was near and dear to his heart.

When someone is down on their luck and doesn't know how they will feed their kids, HOPE Community Services is there to lend a helping hand and put food on the table. In 2020, HOPE Community Services served as New Rochelle’s leading non-profit organization, stepping up and responding to the huge increase in demand for emergency food that stemmed from the Covid-19 Crisis.

Hope provided 2,341,386 meals, and over 120 tons of food went out their door. More food was given out in 2020 than in the past 10 years combined.

$50 could provide hot dinners for 8 people

$100 could provide pantry bags for 2 people for 1 week

$250 could feed 5 seniors for 1 week

$500 could provide showers, clean clothes and supplies for 10 neighbors in need
