It’s been half a year since Hatay, a mesmerizing and lively city in Turkey faced an upheaval. An earth-shattering earthquake not only left scars on the city but also deeply wounded the hearts of its residents. The quake brought down buildings, snatched away homes, and Hatay’s schools were no more.

Our mission is to construct a new school in Hatay. Not a structure made of bricks and mortar but a powerful symbol of resilience and hope.

To achieve this goal, we're launching a campaign in collaboration with the Turkish Philanthropy Fund. All funds raised will be entrusted to the Turkish Women Physicians’ Association to Support Education (KAHEV), an organization that personifies unwavering commitment and passion for education. They will ensure that every single penny is utilized to provide Hatay’s children with a hearted and nurturing environment where they can learn, dream, and thrive.

By offering an opportunity for children to pursue their aspirations, enabling teachers to inspire and ignite interests, and revitalizing the spirit of a city; you are contributing to the preservation and enhancement of culture, history, and education in Hatay. My name is Burçin Nalinci, a Turkish-born, American that lives in Kansas City, MO. The two earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria back-to-back on February 6th have been very hard. Watching the news break, counting the lives lost, and seeing orphaned children rescued from rubble piles has been heartbreaking. Coming back from this is going to take long years and communities coming together to recover from it. The scale of the destruction is so large that it is hard not to feel hopeless. Turkiye Earthquake Relief Fund:

Sisters and brothers, I am calling upon your healing energy and positive intentions to bring hope and miracles to those impacted by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in 10 different Turkish cities. The area where most of the cities were wiped into dust is the same size as the state of California. Over 20 million people lived in those cities. This is an ongoing humanitarian disaster where we simply must do what we can to help.

Please give what you can by clicking the link below. There is very little each of us can do, but we must do it. Together we are a mighty force for good in the lives of the earthquake victims.

The earthquake directly impacts around 25 million people. The death number is raised to 150,000, however, the actual number could be far higher, even in the millions. There still are immediate needs, such as tents and heaters, and for over a month, the stench of death and disease has taken over. Floods and other disasters are impacting the already traumatized people of the region, with innocent children in the middle of it, and suffering the most.

Turkiye Earthquake Relief Fund is working to provide immediate relief to survivors in the form of food, shelter, water, and medicine. In addition, we will provide longer-term assistance to help residents recover and rebuild. Your contributions will go to Turkish Philanthropy Funds' "Afet Platformu," which is directly involved in Kahramanmaras and its neighboring towns to help victims recover from the devastating effects of the earthquake and the necessary rebuilding efforts.

There is a need for rebuilding and humanitarian aid in the entire region. International and national support workers are speechless at what they have seen and urge you to help.

We together are part of the solution. All of your donations here will support the TPF Kahramanmaras Earthquake Relief Fund and recovery efforts. We monitor the impact on affected communities and work with partners at Afet Platformu to allocate funds to where they are needed most. In time I will be sharing with you the progress happening through your support.

We, the Turkish Student Association and Turkish Undergraduate Organization at UC San Diego, ask you to give generously and support efforts to help people who were directly impacted by the recent devastating earthquake.

Last Monday, February 6th, Turkey was struck by two deadly earthquakes of magnitudes 7.8 and 7.5 (USGS), the most catastrophic disaster to hit Turkey in decades. As of February 10, more than 19,000 people are confirmed dead, and the death toll is expected to rise. Not only that, more than 12,000 buildings have collapsed, and many of them are no longer inhabitable. Large areas spanning 10 cities are completely devastated with no access to food, electricity, or medical services. As a result, thousands were left homeless in extreme winter conditions and 14 million people are in need of urgent assistance.

Since the moment the earthquake hit, many local aid and support organizations have mobilized and are trying to rescue and provide aid to the earthquake victims. There is a pressing need for immediate actions and resources such as food, winter clothing, and shelter.

All proceeds go directly to the Turkish Philanthropy Funds, which works closely with the AHBAP Association, a well-known and reputable non-profit grasshopper organization, to support disaster victims. Even the smallest donation can make all the difference in the long and testing aftermath ahead of families, friends, and loved ones in Turkey.

Hello, as the Turkish community at the University of Miami, we're raising money to benefit the Turkish Philanthropy Funds, and any donation will help make an impact. More than 6,000 buildings have been demolished and according to World Health Organization's announcement, over 20,000 people are expected to be found dead. Thousands are stuck outside in the cold and many people are still waiting for help in the demolished buildings. People may die due to extreme weather conditions. As graduate students from Turkey who study at Binghamton University, we are raising funds for Turkish Philanthropy Funds, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, to help the victims of the recent earthquakes.

On Monday, February 6th, two major 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria in less than 24 hours. More than fifteen thousand people were reported dead, sixty thousand were injured and over six thousand buildings collapsed leaving hundreds of thousands of people without access to shelter in harsh winter conditions. TBF is currently raising funds for its Turkiye Earthquake Relief Fund to support the local agencies and organizations that deliver food, water, shelter, medicine, and other urgent needs to the regions affected by this disaster. Your donations are tax-deductible.

Here are the average prices of the most urgent needs in Turkey that your help can reach:

A blanket, power bank, or similar items: 15 USD

Food boxes, women's hygiene products, baby formulas, and diapers: 40 USD

A winter coat, boots, or similar items: 50 USD

My heart goes out to all those who were heavily impacted by the earthquakes in Southeastern Turkey & Syria on Monday, Feb, 6th.

Right now, like many Turkish-American folks, I am feeling helpless, heartbroken, and sad--especially as my family is from Adana (and I am extremely lucky and grateful that everyone is okay and safe!).

However, we can't say that for the majority of Turks and Syrians that are living in the area. As we see the death toll keeps rising day-by-day (as of Feb. 10th, 22,000+ people have died due to this natural disaster) and right now the weather conditions are harsh and extremely cold in that region, which is causing more strain for all those who have already been displaced and their homes destroyed due to the earthquakes.

Survivors need shelter, food, and all the resources they can get right now and the fastest way for people to help overseas (especially Americans) is by raising money and sending funds to orgs that are helping.

The US Dollar is extremely powerful right now: $5 = 95TL. And if you donate $50, that's close to 945 TL!

It can be overwhelming to know the best organizations to donate to, especially when folks don't know or understand the region, culture, or resources that are already available in the area. Plus, there are already so many amazing and different organizations that have been on the ground helping since the earthquakes happened.

That's why I'm choosing to raise money to benefit Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF) because all contributions that are donated to TPF will go to vetted NGOs such as AKUT Vakfi, Ahbap, ACEV, TOG, İhtiyaç Haritası, TEGV--who are helping folks right now, at this very second.

Any donation, EVEN A DOLLAR, will help make an impact and help Turks & Syrians in the region. Please help me raise $10,000 for TPF to support and help the victims & survivors of these tragic earthquakes.

My name is Fundagül and I am from Hatay, Turkey. The southeastern part of Turkey, including my hometown, has fallen apart in a matter of a couple of days due to a massive earthquake. I am devastated beyond words to see the neighborhood I grew up in is in ruins now. People have lost their homes and have to stay outside in cold weather with their families and friends still not found under the collapsed buildings. The scale of the situation is too bad to handle with the help of my government only. The people are short of supplies and volunteers to help them save.
